Nerf Guns target a distinct audience of 7-13 year old males. This packaging was designed to target 10-13 year olds by using the concept of a wooden military style crate. I wanted to create a unique packaging solution that acts as a storage unit for the nerf gun as well.
The final crate not only provides a creative packaging design that attracts the adventures boys who play with nerf guns. But it could be easily be mass produced out of recycled wood products. It gives children a place to store their Nerf Gun while they are not playing with them. That is something basic cardboard packaging does not provide.
